Banking In Spain

Opening a bank in Spain?

As well the Notary and the estate agent in Spain you will also deal with a bank in Spain.

With Spanish banks transaction costs will differ depending on whether you have multiple products with your Spanish bank. You will find banking in Spain can be more expensive than in Great Britain.

More often than not the bank will speak your language and this will make things a lok easier, but it will depend on the bank and often its location to the amount of languages spoken.

Most banks now offer online banking and normally this is also available in your language.

Opening a bank account in Spain should be one of the first things you do if you've found your home in Spain and want to buy.

To open any Spanish bank account you need two things.

A valid passport or identity card (Depending on your country)
An identification number (NIE) for non-Spanish people
