This week the weather has been gorgeous and most of those who live here will agree that the period between February and June when the summer heat kicks in, is the best time of year by far.

With temperatures in the mid 20's, there's no better time to get out there and explore the many facets of Spain.

There are companies running paid tours to show off the blossom orchards, most including a farmer's breakfast, although visitors can also choose from tourist train trips out into the orchards, cycling tours, tours in a coach, 4x4 off-road tours, flights in a microlite over the orchards and even a view from a hot air balloon, and there are also cultural tours, live music, rafting and sporting events to combine with a visit to the orchards.

Carnivals at Easter "Semana Santa" are now approaching.

The embroidery museums which hold the impressive collections of embroideries created for its annual "Semana Santa" also biblical processions. Last year the parades were a complete sell-out, so if you're thinking of going, book those tickets.
